PricedUp arrived in 2024 and, unlike a lot of new brands, it doesn’t feel half-finished.

It’s run by Off Course Bookmakers Limited from Hove, on the well-regarded Playbook platform — the same engine behind Planet Sport Bet, AK Bets and Dragon Bet. Buying proven technology rather than building your own is why it launched working properly.

The personality is built around one thing: enhanced prices. The daily #PricedUpPushes boosts are front and centre, and for a value-minded punter that’s an appealing pitch.

What you get is a clean app, sensible market depth and quick payouts. What you don’t get is Best Odds Guaranteed, a busy promotions page, or football streaming.

Is PricedUp Safe? Licence and Regulatory Record

PricedUp is operated by Off Course Bookmakers Limited (Star House, 255 Old Shoreham Road, Hove) under Gambling Commission licence 001776. UK consumer protections, dispute resolution and advertising standards all apply.

The site signposts GambleAware, GamCare, GAMSTOP and Gambling Therapy, and offers the standard toolkit: deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion.

We found no Gambling Commission enforcement action recorded against Off Course Bookmakers Limited — no fine, settlement, warning or suspension on the public register. That’s a register fact rather than a promise about the future, and the PricedUp brand has only traded since 2024. Last checked 21 August 2026.

The “Not Protected” Funds Tier — What It Actually Means

This one deserves more than a footnote. PricedUp’s own terms state that customer money is held separately from company funds across bank accounts, investment accounts and payment-processor reserves — but that “these funds are not protected in the event of insolvency”, meeting the Gambling Commission’s not protected classification.

That’s the lowest of the Commission’s three tiers, and it’s legal and properly disclosed. Plenty of smaller operators sit here.

In plain terms: if the company failed, you would be an ordinary creditor rather than having your balance ring-fenced. The practical takeaway is simple — keep your working balance on account, not your bankroll.

Day to day, core prices are competitive rather than market-leading, sitting broadly in line with the mainstream books on popular football and racing. On a boosted selection your price sits above the standard market, and that gap is the extra value.

A nice touch is that the site surfaces price movement directly, flagging when a price is drifting (going out) or shortening (coming in). If you bet on market moves, that’s genuinely useful and most bookmakers hide it.

What’s missing is Best Odds Guaranteed, now near-standard elsewhere. Its absence is the single biggest gap for racing-led punters, who are effectively giving up value every time a price drifts before the off.

PricedUp Sports, Markets & Build-A-Bet

PricedUp covers roughly 20–25 sports. Football leads with 100+ markets on major matches, backed by strong horse racing and one of the better greyhound offerings among newer books.

Tennis, golf, cricket, darts, snooker, boxing, MMA and motorsport are all well served, and there’s political and TV-specials betting for the novelty punters.

The Build-A-Bet works on most football matches, combining player props, cards and corners into one price. It’s capable, though it presents markets as a single long list rather than the tabbed builders bigger brands use, so complex builds mean more scrolling.

In-play is a highlight. The match-tracker graphics — particularly for tennis and golf — make live betting easy to follow, and prices refresh quickly.

The main gap is esports, not offered at all, which is a notable omission for younger bettors. Niche markets can also be thinner than at the market leaders. For the mainstream sports most punters actually bet, though, the coverage is more than deep enough.

This is PricedUp’s strongest card. There are dedicated iOS and Android apps plus a responsive mobile site, and all three feel quick and uncluttered.

Navigation is intuitive whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, load times are snappy, and we hit no glitches. The in-play graphics in particular lift it above many similarly sized operators.

The bet slip is clean, cash out is one tap away where offered, and switching between pre-match and in-play is seamless.

If there’s a criticism, it’s that the density of in-play markets can feel like information overload during a busy live event — a symptom of ambition rather than poor design. Overall the app is comfortably among the best outside the top tier.

In practice email is the most reliable channel, and feedback on response quality is broadly positive.

Here’s something the marketing doesn’t shout about. Off Course Bookmakers Limited trades from Star House, 255 Old Shoreham Road, Hove — the same address as Star Racing Limited, which runs Star Sports. Both are owned by Ben Keith.

So PricedUp and Star Sports are stablemates, which explains a lot: the same independent, value-led instincts, just aimed at different punters. Star Sports leans on BOG, high limits and a freephone betting line; PricedUp leans on a modern app and daily boosts.

They are separate licensees though — 001776 and 9177 — so this is common ownership, not a shared licence. Which matters practically: a self-exclusion at one does not reach the other. GAMSTOP covers every UK-licensed site at once.

It isn’t the finished article. There’s no Best Odds Guaranteed, ongoing promotions are thin, streaming covers racing but not football, and there’s no esports at all. The “not protected” funds tier is legal and disclosed, but it’s a reason to keep only your working balance on account.
