Lead Bookmaker Analyst
Alex Thompson is Got the Odds' lead bookmaker analyst, with fourteen years in the betting industry. He started out managing betting shops before moving into digital betting analysis in 2016, and has since assessed more than 200 UK-licensed bookmakers. His working knowledge of how bookmakers actually operate — where the margin sits, how verification is really handled, what a withdrawal timeline looks like from the inside — shapes every review he writes. Alex focuses on odds comparison, payment processing speeds, and identifying bookmakers whose terms are genuinely fair rather than merely competitive.
